This is the Major counterpart to the “Other Box” from the A minor Pentatonic Scale. Just apply the
“3 Frets Down” principle to the “Other Box”, and you’ll get the “Other Happy Box”. Remember, start this shape on your pinky, and be aware where the notes of the A Major chord lie within this box (highlighted in green). It is illustrated below in its Hexatonic form (“Hex” note highlighted in pink), with the sweet bending spot highlighted in red.
